Are you a theatre person struggling with disordered eating, body image, and outdated industry standards?
A support/education/coaching group for performers overcoming diet culture and re-learning to love their body amidst the performance industry standards. Our first 4 cohorts were met with much praise!
This group takes a combined format of a dialectical education topic paired with plenty of time for support and discussion with your peers.
We will be covering:
Fueling for rehearsals and busy schedules (hydration, timing, what to eat for energy)
Audition nerves (body image, comparing)
And Fueling for performance days (digestive issues on stage, eating before and after show)
And much more!
Discuss disordered eating and body image woes as performers, with education and recovery coaching by eating disorder expert (and HFTA’s founder), Libby Parker.*
Unique to theatre people, 5, 6, 7, Eat! holds space for the specific issues people in the industry face. This group is open to English-speakers of all genders, located anywhere in the world. We have 2 age cohorts: for 15-19 year olds, and adult group for ages 18+.
GREAT NEWS: in honor of the work of Health For The Arts, Parker is greatly reducing the cost to participants! (Formerly, $299 for 6 sessions, now only $60 for 6!)
The next session: Begins January 12, 2025!
We are meeting 2x/month (every other Sunday), for $20/month, recurring until you cancel. It is recommended to commit to at least 3 months, but it is ok if you have to miss a session.
Teen group: Sunday nights 6:30 – 7:45 pm EST via Zoom.
Adult group: Sunday nights 8 – 9:15 pm EST via Zoom.

Health for the Arts Supports Affordable Care for Artists
*Health for the Arts is proud to support efforts that enhance the well-being of artists and creatives. Our Executive Director, through her private practice, is launching a new initiative to make formerly expensive services accessible for just $20 per month through a recurring membership program.
While Health for the Arts fully supports this endeavor as part of our mission to uplift and advocate for the artistic community, it is important to clarify that this initiative is operated independently through Parker’s private practice. No funds from the nonprofit are involved in this program, and all payments and memberships will be processed directly through her private practice.
Our role is to amplify and champion initiatives like this one that align with our shared goal of ensuring artists have access to the resources they need to thrive. We look forward to seeing the positive impact this initiative will have on our community
